Emma is nothing short of incredible. She skillfully helped us with our 17hh mare who had a bucking issue and transformed a broodmare into a kid-safe horse. She has used mindful techniques to produce results without the harsh approaches other trainers have used. It’s clear she uses both education and instinct to tailor her training to each unique horse. Emma came out to help me with my Arabian gelding rescue. Having gone through a couple of other trainers who tried and failed and now with little hope to get him started, I found someone who was willing to listen to me, had patience with my pony, and communicated her process step-by-step. She was able to accomplish something amazing in a short amount of time. Emma is not only talented, but honest, reliable, and communicative.

I hired Emma Turner to work with my Arab/Quarter Horse who had shown a tendency to spook. I am a senior rider and not as confident as I once was. I was very pleased with her calm demeanor and quiet hands. Frankly I noticed a difference in my guy after a few sessions. Then an opportunity came along to buy a Welsh Cob, aged ten, who had spent his life pastured and had only been under saddle for a few months. Emma went to meet him and ride him, and despite his lack of training, thought he would be great for me. She was so right! She began at the beginning and has brought him along so wonderfully that I am riding him with complete confidence….more confidence than I’ve had in years. Emma truly understands horses. Nothing ruffles her. And I certainly respect her judgment. In months she has brought along my new little guy from green to a perfect mount.

Emma is wonderful. My daughter and I had the pleasure of working with her for numerous months. She had lots of patience when working with our 2 1/2 year-old horse who was green and needed lots of work. In the first couple of weeks, we saw a difference with her. Emma was professional and very considerate to us and made the transition for my family very easy. We were sent weekly updates and videos of our horse. I highly recommend Emma Turner to be part of your horse world. I’m very impressed with her knowledge, patience, riding skills, and training techniques. Emma is helping me with my 3 year old gelding. I did all the ground work up until he was ready for a rider. She met him, worked him in a round pen, and within the hour she was able to get on him. Emma knew when to apply pressure and release. She has the experience to ride through his bucking stage, correcting him, and following through very professionally. She has quiet hands and a good seat. I have no doubt that my gelding will be finished safely and be able to go in any direction. Emma will not waste your time or money. She will help you advance into the horse world safely and with the confidence necessary to move forward.

Emma helped me build trust and confidence with my terrified rescue horse, June Bug. Emma took her time and really listened to my concerns with June Bug. I decided to board her at Emma’s barn for 3 months for training. She kept me informed of June Bug’s well being for the entire 90 days. I received videos, photos, and updates almost daily and a detailed description of happened with her training weekly plus Emma’s recommendations on vet care, farrier care, and nutrition. Emma is a step above any other trainer because she is honest and puts the HORSE’S needs first. My husband and I are very fortunate to have Emma working with us and our horses. She’s very insightful and has taken great care of our horses. She always puts the safety of our animals first and she continues to educate us on their care and training. The equine world is a new experience for us and she has been a great resource and guide in learning horse behavior and health. Emma has been working with my thoroughbred and I for about a year and a half now. We started with mobile sessions, and eventually he moved to her facility so we could begin working on getting him sold. I have nothing but positive things to say. She has done everything in her power to find him the right new home, and kept me in the loop for his care in times where I could not be present as much as I would have liked to have been. After not being around or riding horses for many years these ladies have shown and reminded me how much I had forgotten about them. I’ve been taking refresher riding lessons with the EIBT team for about a month now and have also helped them with some other equine related projects. These up and coming horse women are massively talented, knowledgeable, and bringing a much needed and kinder approach to training both horses and humans. The horses are well cared for and their needs are always put first. Additionally, I’m learning so much from them – my mindset and confidence has substantially improved under their guidance. Apparently you can teach this old gal some new tricks. 🙂 Emma and her team promote a positive riding/training environment – freely allowing both rider and trainer to exchange thoughts, ideas, and feelings in a judgement free zone while maintaining mutual respect for one another (there’s generally A LOT of laughter too – I love that!). All of this is a welcome change from what I’ve experienced with other trainers and facilities. I’ll continue to make the 50+ minute drive because it’s worth it – THEY are worth it!

As someone who ran a 100+ horse operation, I can speak to Emma’s skills! Gentle, confident hand that I could trust with any of the horses we had. She built up the people around her, and we were sad to see her leave Tucson. Any program that brings her in will benefit!
